A 55-year-old woman was living with her son at Velu village in Murbad taluka, Thane district, Maharashtra. There were frequent fights between the two due to family issues.
In this case, there was a fight again last night. The son says that the food served by the mother is not tasty, and an argument ensues between the two. The son got very angry and cut the mother’s neck with a sickle. The mother collapsed and died on the spot.
Following this, the nearby residents informed the Thane police control room. The police rushed to the spot and recovered the body and took it to the hospital for postmortem.The police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
And the son who killed his mother took sleeping pills in an attempt to commit suicide. His relatives rescued him and admitted him to the hospital. Police said they have not arrested the man yet as he is in the hospital.
