Moon Mission Chandrayaan-3: All Instruments in Lander Functioning – ISRO Report

The lander, which was attached to Chandrayaan-3, yesterday detached and descended onto the surface, with the rover also rolling out from its abdomen region. ISRO has informed yesterday that all the instruments of the lander have come into operation as planned. Notably, the rover’s operation on the surface of the moon’s terrain commenced yesterday. Likewise, instruments like ILSA, RAMBA, CASTE, and others that were within the lander were activated yesterday. Along with this, ISRO has also announced that the ‘Shape’ instrument that separated from Chandrayaan-3’s lander and landed on the moon’s surface on the 17th has already been brought into operation. ISRO has stated that all actions of Chandrayaan-3’s lander proceeded according to plan. Prior to the landing on the moon’s surface, ISRO has released an image of the moon’s terrain, captured by the lander’s camera a few minutes before the descent.
