Court remand of Minister Senthil Balaji extended by 14 days

On June 14, Minister Senthil Balaji was arrested by enforcement officials in an illegal money transfer case. Arrested Minister Senthil Balaji is currently lodged in Puzhal Jail.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court allowed the Enforcement Directorate to investigate him. Subsequently, the Madras Principal Sessions Court allowed the enforcement officials to take them into custody for five days and conduct an investigation. They interrogated Senthil Balaji for five days. After that, he was again produced in the Principal Sessions Court of Chennai and imprisoned.

In this situation, as the court custody of Minister Senthil Balaji ended today, he was produced before Madras District Principal Sessions Court Judge Alli from Puzhal Jail via video. Subsequently, the minister extended Senthil Balaji’s judicial custody for another 14 days (on the 29th). It is noteworthy that the court has extended Senthilbalaji’s custody for the 6th time.
