India beat Japan 2-1 in the Women’s Asian Champions League.

The 7th Asian Champions Trophy for Women is underway in Ranchi, Jharkhand. In one of the matches that took place last night, the Indian team defeated the defending champion Japan with the score of 2-1.

For India, Navneet Kaur (31st minute) and Sangeeta Kumari (47th minute) scored.Indian team is on top with 12 points after tasting their 4th consecutive victory.Japan is in 2nd place with 9 points from 3 wins and 1 loss.

Having already reached the semi-finals, the Indian team will face South Korea tomorrow in their last league match.
