Ration shops to function on Sunday ahead of Diwali

People are advised to check the availability of items in ration shops as they will buy items in advance.

Diwali festival is going to be celebrated on 12th. In view of this, the food department of the Tamil Nadu government has announced that the ration shops will operate as usual on the 5th (Sunday).

According to this, it has been ordered to provide all the commodities to the ration card holders on all days of the week.People are advised to check the availability of items in the ration shops as the public will buy items in advance for Diwali.
