Balaji Gaba, an executive of a private advertising company in Chennai filed a complaint against him in the Chennai Police Commissioner’s office.It is alleged that Ravinder defrauded him of Rs 16 crore by claiming that he was going to start a project to convert municipal solid waste into energy at a cost of Rs 200 crore.
The Central Crime Branch police arrested Ravinder Chandrasekhar in this case, produced him in the Egmore Court and imprisoned him.Following this, he petitioned for bail. The court dismissed it. He appealed against this.
