Filmmaker Ravinder Chandrasekhar granted conditional bail

Balaji Gaba, an executive of a private advertising company in Chennai filed a complaint against him in the Chennai Police Commissioner’s office.It is alleged that Ravinder defrauded him of Rs 16 crore by claiming that he was going to start a project to convert municipal solid waste into energy at a cost of Rs 200 crore.

The Central Crime Branch police arrested Ravinder Chandrasekhar in this case, produced him in the Egmore Court and imprisoned him.Following this, he petitioned for bail. The court dismissed it. He appealed against this.

In this case, this petition came up for hearing in the Madras High Court.It is said that there are many money transactions from Ravinder’s bank account, but are all these related to this case?The police said that it is not known.

At the end of the trial, the court granted bail to Ravinder Chandrasekhar on condition that he pay a surety of Rs 5 crore within 2 weeks.
