Today, in the Koyambedu market in Chennai, the price of tomatoes has reduced by Rs. 10 per kilogram.

During the past month in Tamil Nadu, the price of certain varieties of tomatoes that were not seen in history has increased. One kilogram of tomatoes is being sold for 200 rupees in some shops. Due to this, the general public is facing significant hardships.

The Tamil Nadu government has taken measures to control the increase in tomato prices. In this regard, tomatoes are being sold at a lower price than the market rate through ration shops.

In the current situation, today in Chennai, Koyambedu vegetable market, the price of tomatoes has reduced by Rs. 10 per kilogram. Yesterday, one kilogram of tomatoes, which was selling for Rs. 160, is now being sold for Rs. 150, with a decrease of Rs. 10. Similarly, for the second-grade tomatoes, one kilogram, which was selling for Rs. 150, is now being sold for Rs. 130, with a decrease of Rs. 20. Due to the excess supply of tomatoes in the market, traders expect further price reductions in the coming days.
