Every year during Diwali and Pongal festivals, train ticket booking starts 120 days in advance for the convenience of the public. Accordingly, the next year the Bogi festival starts on 14th January (Sunday), Pongal is celebrated on 15th January, Mattuppongal is celebrated on 16th and Pongal is celebrated on 17th.
In this situation, ticket booking in trains has started today (Wednesday) on the occasion of Pongal festival. Southern Railway has announced that tickets can be booked through IRCTC, website and ticket booking centers.
It has been informed that those who book today can travel on January 11. On 12th January, train ticket booking for natives will start tomorrow.
Ticket Booking Details:-
* Those who book on 15th September can travel on 13th January.
* Those booking on 16th September can travel on 14th January.
* Those booking on 17th September can travel on 15th January.
* Those booking on 18th September can travel on 16th January.
Those booking on September 19 can travel on January 17. Railway administration said.
