Girls of Vellore Virupatsipuram Government School participated in the Vellore district level handball and beach handball competitions and came first.
Under 19 handball tournament M.Aishwarya, Y. Jayamani, V. Pavitra, Y. Srimati, D. Sindhu, V. Monisha, S. Sujitra, M. Roshini, A. Appiah, N. Niveka, V. Mahashakti, Under-19 Beach Handball Tournament M. Aishwarya, Students named Y. Srimati and M. Keerthana and J. Janani in beach handball competition for under 14 years of age.A student named R. Vishal has also qualified for the state level competition by winning the Silambam competition for under 19 year olds.
