A textile shop employee was killed when a cargo auto collided with a motorcycle near Panavaram.
Babu (age 40) belongs to Kuppukalmedu village next to Panavaram. He used to work in a textile shop in Arcot. He went to work from home on a motorcycle yesterday morning. While going to a place called Melveeranam, an oncoming freight auto collided with a motorcycle. Babu suffered a severe head injury and died on the spot.
The Cauverypakkam police, who were informed about the incident, rushed to recover the body and sent it to Walaja Government Hospital for post-mortem.A case has been registered and is being investigated.
