A couple of places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal today (9.11.2023) due to the low atmospheric circulation over the Kumarik Sea region, Light to moderate rain is likely, according to the Meteorological Department.
In this situation, it has been informed that 17 districts of Tamil Nadu are likely to receive moderate rain in the next 3 hours. Accordingly, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Chennai, Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Erode, Tirupur, Theni, Kanyakumari, Nellai, Sivagangai, Ramanathapuram, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagai, Tiruvarur these districts are likely to experience light to moderate rain with thundershowers, the Chennai Meteorological Department said.
