Collectors have said that the disaster model warning is being tested on cell phones.
By the Department of Telecom, Government of India to verify the functioning of the All India Emergency Alert System implemented by the National Disaster Management Authority, a pilot disaster alert message will be sent to cell phones today (Friday) through the cell broadcast system.
The public should not panic or react to this warning message. Enhance public safety, the test will also be used to send timely alerts in case of emergencies.
