Minister Gandhi launched a community baby shower for 200 pregnant women.

A community welfare program was held for 200 pregnant women in Ranipet. Collector Varamathi presided. Minister R.Gandhi participated as the special invitee and inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the candlestick. Then he prepared lunch for 200 pregnant women with various products including turmeric, saffron, bangle, sandalwood etc.

Earlier, he visited the exhibition hall on nutrition where awareness ideas for pregnant women had been painted in circles.

JL Eswarappan, District Panchayat Committee President Jayanthi Thirumurthy, City Council Presidents Sujatha Vinod, Harini Thillai, Union Committee Presidents Venkatramanan, Bhuvaneshwari Sathyanathan, City Council Deputy Chairman Ramesh Karna,Union Committee Vice President Radhakrishnan and others were present.
