A passenger train from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh was going to Balasa last night. The train was stopping for a signal on the track between Alamanta – Gangadapally.
Then, on the same track, another passenger train sped from Visakhapatnam towards Odisha’s Rayagada. Visakhapatnam came fast as both the trains traveled on the same track.The Rayagada passenger train collided with the Visakhapatnam – Balasau passenger train which was stopping for the signal from the rear. In this tragic accident, 2 coaches of the train derailed.
In this case, the death toll in this train accident has risen to 13. 39 people who were seriously injured in the accident have been admitted to Visakhapatnam Hospital and are undergoing treatment.Preliminary information has been released that human error is the cause of this accident.
