It is reported that the new fee will come into effect from the 10th.
The permission fee for construction of houses above 1,000 square feet in Chennai has been increased by 100 percent.Also, the permit fee for well, drinking water tank and perimeter wall has been doubled.Similarly, the permit fee for demolition of old buildings has also been increased.
Based on the resolution passed in the Chennai Corporation Board meeting, this new fee will come into effect from 10th.
