National Games in Goa begin today

The National Sports Tournament starts today in Goa.

The 37th National Games will be held in Goa from today to the 9th of next month.More than 10,000 players from all over the country will participate in this competition held at 5 locations. 43 sports are conducted including athletics, swimming, shooting, basketball, kabaddi, boxing, handball, wrestling and yoga.A team of 446 members has been sent from Tamil Nadu.

The opening ceremony is scheduled at 6.30 pm at the Nehru Stadium, Batorda with a spectacular performance.Prime Minister Modi will participate in this and inaugurate the competition.Although the tournament officially starts today, some games are already underway.
